Choice of case

It is in the case that you put all the things together, power-supply is also in here. You will find cases with or without power supply. Normally, it is cheaper to by a case with power supply rather than buying them separate. The power supply should be at least 300 W, especially if you are using an AMD processor as it needs more power. In addition if you are considering overcloking or put many cards or components in, you definately need more then 300 W. The motherboard and the case must be compatible. Type ATX is the most common and suits almost every motherboard on the market. You can choose between tower and desktop. The tower version comes in mini, midi and full. A lot of "computer builders", buy the tower version because it is easier to put all the components in, and more convenient for future upgrades. Full tower is suitable if you are going to install extra parts like 3 hard-drives, 3 different CD-ROMS/DVD ROM/CDRW etc. Mini tower is out of the question as it is more difficult to install the parts in and you need operating space as a beginner.Midi tower is usually sufficient.

Check how many parts the case comes in and if it is screwless. Screwless cases are very user friendly but also the most rare ones.
