Installere flatkabler

It is through the flat cables all information goes between the hard drive, CD-ROM and the floppy. The flat cables are first connected to the motherboard and then to the actual component.

In the picture above you see the flat cable which we are going to put in the hard drive and CD-ROM. The blue outlet shall always be connected to the motherboard. The outlet in the middle (grey), needs to be connected to the hard drive and the black to the CD-ROM. Make sure that the hard drive is set for "master" and the CD-ROM for "slave". You can change the settings at the back of either the hard drive or CD-ROM. Which is which is usually written on the top the component or in the manual.

In the picture above we can see where and how the flat cabel shall be connected to the motherboard. Put the blue cabel in the blue outlet. Push it carefully down and make sure it is the right way.

Do the same thing with the hard drive.

And the CD-ROM....

This is the flat cabel which are going to be connected between the floppy and motherboard. It can be recognised easily with it's two outlets. It is smaller and the with is less. If the floppy drive does not work when you turn the computer on, turn the cable around and try again.
