Install power, sound etc to the motherboard

On the inside of the case you will find thin cables in different colours marked HDD-LED, SPEAKER, POWER.etc. Connecting these cables makes it possible to turn the computer on, get sound in the speaker and so on. These cables need to be connected to the motherboard. Read the manual you got with the motherboard. There you will find where they are supposed to be placed.

Usually, the cables are placed in the nearest corner where they come from. The cases today are very different, do not be upset if there are two or three cables too many. It does not matter which way you put the cable as long as it  is in the right place.

In the picture above we see the two main powercables which are to be connected to the motheboard. Both of them only fits one place on the motherboard and you see right away where they are going to be placed.

Here we see the biggest of the mainpower cables. You can easily identify it by searching for the cable with most wires. It only fits in one place, usually near the processor.

The other powercabel is squared with 4 holes and shall also be placed near the processor.
